Imam, Fakhar star in 131-run win as Pakistan whitewash Zimbabwe 5-0

first_imgImam-ul-Haq smashed his third century of the series while Fakhar Zaman hit a 83-ball 85 as Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 131 runs in the fifth and final ODI to sweep series 5-0 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.Imam hit 110 off 105 balls while Fakhar became the fastest (18th ODI) to reach 1000 runs in ODIs as the opening pair continued to torment the Zimbabwe bowlers. Zaman broke the record of 21 matches which was shared by five cricketers, including his teammate Babar Azam.The opening pair put together a stand of 168 before Fakhar was out for 85. But, the incoming Babar Azam made sure that Zimbabwe’s joy was cut short and forged a 77-run stand for the second wicket before Imam fell for a well-made 110. Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik failed to make the most of the rare opportunity to bat in this series as both fell for 18.But, Babar hung on and completed his century and guided Pakistan to 364/4 from their 50 overs.
