Ingle Named Bulldog Student-Athlete of the Week

first_imgCaitlin Ingle, a senior from Runnells, Iowa, has been named this week’s Bulldog Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Drake Graduate and Professional Programs.Ingle, a guard on the Drake women’s basketball team, helped lead the team to a pair of wins over Bradley and Illinois State to improve to 20-4 and 13-0 in MVC play. The Valley wins helped Drake set the best-ever start to league play in MVC history. Ingle scored 16 points and added seven assists, three rebounds and one steal against Bradley. She had five points and 10 assists versus Illinois State. Academically, Ingle holds a 3.84 grade point average as a psychology major. This is the third Bulldog Student-Athlete of the Week award for Ingle, who also earned the honor back on Dec. 19 and Jan. 3. She was tabbed MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Jan. 24. Ingle ranks first all-time in MVC history and second all-time at Drake in career assists with 722, and she is third among active NCAA players. This season, Ingle is averaging 7.8 assists per game, which ranks second in the nation, along with scoring 10.5 points per game.
