Most accidents (37 per cent) occurred on Fridays and Sundays.Stavrou added that the number of police officers should be increased and the House of Representatives needs to support all efforts to combat the problem.“The state has tens of millions of revenue annually from extrajudicial violations of the highway code, and if a small proportion of this was taken for road safety, to support the police and improve the road network the problem would be solved.”Education minister Costas Kadis said education is necessary beyond roadside checks and safe roads, and for that reason the ministry is developing specialised health education programmes for both primary and secondary schools.Health minister Giorgos Pamborides added that one of the goals of his ministry is to reduce the response time of ambulances and has created a coordinated ambulance call centre composed of trained officers which operates in Nicosia and Famagusta and which will soon operate islandwide. You May LikeLuxury Crossover SUV I Search AdsThese SUVs Are The Cream Of The Crop.
