Hekari overwhelm Dwellers 5-0

first_imgScoring 2 goals in the first half was not enough for Hekari FC, as they came back with a venom to inflict a treble of goals  in the second half with Tommy Semmy scoring a hat-trick and Koriak Upaiga scoring his double and Tutizama Tanito scored one goal to overwhelm the visitors.The second half grew tense with lots of physical contact with man to man marking when Lae City Dwellers FC couldn’t find their way through the Hekari’s defense.Despite numerous crosses and chips from the Dwellers to send their front liners Nigel Dabinyaba and Raymond Gunemba through, Hekari backliners will not let them pass as they cleared all balls in their way.Then Hekari’s import player Tutzama Tanito opened the second half score with another point on the board for Hekari  to extend the lead 3-0.Sixteen minutes later veteran Tommy Semmy pulled off another goal outside the Dwellers 18 yards, pocketing the footy at the left hand corner of the top post to lead 4-0.Semmy than ended the day with a hat-trick 10 minutes before fulltime with a cross from Upaiga which got Semmy stretching his right foot forward to tip the ball with the edge of his boot to slightly roll behind the net.Dwellers fought harder but only to go down scoreless to the strong outstanding Hekari FC performance.Hekari defended their minor premier title and look forward for a rematch with Dwellers next Saturday for the NSL grand final.last_img read more
